DONATION MATCHING: Pilot Irene Horrigan Catholic Schools Match
In coorperation with the Irene Horrigan Trust, three elementary schools were selected for participation in a pilot matching program. The goal of this program is to assist schools in the continued development of their endowments.
Strong Catholic School Endowments enable schools to:
Invest in innovative program ideas, take risks and continue pursuing new ways to enhance an already-great educational and developmental experience for their students.
Attract, develop, and retain the strongest faculty in an increasingly competitive environment.
Keep schools accessible by controlling tuition growth and funding greater financial aid for families.
Maintain and enhance their campus' without relying soley on tuition or campaigns.
Sustain a financially strong school through fluctuations in the economy and environment.
And, most importantly, ensure that catholic schools will thrive and be available for future generations of students.
The three schools elected for the pilot program were chosen to evaluate the potential success of such a program. The schools include:
Walla Walla, Assumption Parish School
Pasco, St. Patrick's Catholic School
Spokane, St. Charles Catholic School
If the current pilot proves successful, the foundation hopes to initiate a campaign were every elementary school in the diocese will be elibible for a match annually.
Your support of this new program is greatly appreciated.
