Established in December 2016 in honor of Marian Fuchs, a beloved teacher from Saint John Vianney School in Spokane Valley, WA.
Marian looked forward to teaching with up-to-date textbooks. The endowment bearing her name is designed to:
Fund replacement of textbook series
Help purchase science lab equipment and hands-on-learning tools for classrooms
Support other needs of the school, including tuition assistance.
Since establishment of the fund in 2016 the fund has grown to approximately $297,000 through a combination of generation donations and market performance.
The long term goal is raise $2.5 million dollars, which will eventually provide approximately $100,000 a year in annual support to the school.
