The Catholic Foundation of Eastern Washington holds and manages over 250 permanent endowed funds. These endowed funds benefit social services, Bishop White Seminary, the education of seminarians, parishes, Catholic schools, religious education programs in parishes, priest retirement, and scholarships (through tuition assistance).
Funds are established by individual donors who make contributions to the Catholic Foundation during their lifetime, or through their estates. The individuals are able to choose the recipient(s) of annual distributions from the endowed funds and to designate the purpose for which the distributions are to be used.
All of the endowed funds held by the Catholic Foundation are open-ended funds, meaning that individuals, estates of individuals, families or corporations may make contributions to any of the permanent endowed funds at any time.
